[SMM Hot-Rolled Coil Arrivals] Arrivals in Mainstream Markets Increased Slightly WoW This Week

SMM Steel, February 24 – According to SMM statistics, the estimated total shipments to mainstream markets this week reached 302,700 mt, up 50.90% WoW. By market:

 


SMM Steel News, March 17: According to SMM statistics, estimated total shipments of resources to mainstream markets this week were 265,300 mt, up 1.49% WoW from the shipment level of the previous week. By market:

Shanghai market: Hot-rolled coil shipments to the Shanghai market increased slightly this week. Specifically, shipments from east China and north China were flat, while shipments from mainstream steel mills in south China increased slightly. Short term, the price spread advantages in east China and south China were not obvious, and steel mill shipments were mainly stable. Shipments to the Shanghai market next week are expected to have relatively small room for fluctuations WoW from this week.

Lecong market: Shipments to Lecong decreased slightly WoW this week. Specifically, resources from north China declined somewhat, while local mainstream resources remained largely stable. Looking ahead, some steel mills traditionally produce specialty steel products in mid-month, and arrivals in the Lecong market next week may still be expected to decline slightly.
