Germany's PV Power Generation Hits Record High, Up 17.4% in 2025

Published: Mar 10, 2026 11:42
Data recently released by the Federal Statistical Office of Germany showed that Germany’s PV power generation in 2025 rose 17.4% YoY to 70.1 billion kWh, accounting for 16% of the country’s total power generation. Both the power generation volume and its share hit new highs since relevant statistics began in 2018. Germany’s PV power generation recorded YoY growth of more than 10% for two consecutive years.

Xinjiang's Bole City Launches 200MW/800MWh Energy Storage Project
On April 11, the 200MW/800MWh energy storage project in Bole City, Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region officially commenced construction. As the first energy storage project to formally break ground in the area, the project involves a total investment of 856 million yuan, covers approximately 80 mu of land, and has a construction period of 180 days. The main construction scope includes a new 110kV step-up substation, with electricity being stepped up and fed into the Zaojiaoshu 220kV step-up collection station for grid connection. With a construction capacity of 200MW/800MWh, the project adopts a combined grid-forming and grid-following technical scheme, and employs advanced technologies such as SST direct-connected technology, offering advantages including reliable design, rapid response, and strong regulation capability.

Shenneng Beikong Hosts Symposium & Signing for China's Largest-Scale Compressed Air ESS Project
On April 10, Shenneng Beikong Company held a symposium and signing ceremony in Beijing for the winning bidders of the underground gas storage facility project for the Xi Ujimqin Banner grid-side compressed air energy storage project. The project is planned to have a construction scale of 3×350 MW/4,200 MWh, making it currently the leading single-unit compressed air ESS power station in China in terms of scale. The underground gas storage facility undertakes the core functions of high-pressure, large-capacity, and long-cycle safe operation, and is a key project that determines technical feasibility and economic viability.

Sichuan's First Integrated Storage-Computing ESS Power Station Kicks Off Construction
Recently, Sichuan Province's first integrated storage-computing composite ESS power station — Pengzhou Tuogang ESS Power Station — officially broke ground. The project adopts a hybrid technology route of "LFP electrochemical energy storage + 2.5 MW supercapacitor," with a total capacity of 100 MW/200 MWh. As a key demonstration project for grid-side new-type energy storage in Sichuan Province in 2025, it plans to achieve full-capacity grid connection and commissioning before the "peak summer" period in August this year.
