[Domestic Iron Ore Brief: Iron Ore Concentrate Prices in Tangshan Area May Fluctuate in the Doldrums] Domestic iron ore prices in the Tangshan area are relatively stable, with 66-grade iron ore concentrates at 980-985 yuan/mt. As the Chinese New Year holiday approaches, producers' operational pace has slowed down, and buyer inquiries for sourcing goods are fewer. Some have accelerated direct procurement of resources from large local mines, but apart from fulfilling steel mill orders, ore dressing plants still face certain obstacles in exporting resources.

In Tangshan, domestic iron ore prices remained relatively stable, with 66% grade iron ore concentrates priced at 980-985 yuan/mt. As the Chinese New Year holiday approached, producers slowed down their operational pace, and buyer inquiries for spot goods decreased. Some buyers accelerated direct procurement from large local mines, but apart from fulfilling steel mill orders, concentrators still faced certain obstacles in exporting resources. Market trading was sluggish, and overall market transactions remained relatively quiet. Recently, local environmental protection inspections continued to exert pressure, but they did not significantly impact the overall production of iron ore concentrates in the region. Combined with the weak trend in iron ore futures recently, it is expected that local iron ore concentrate prices may fluctuate in the doldrums in the short term. [SMM Steel]
