Alamtri Resources (ADRO) Accelerates Aluminum Smelter Development, Absorbs US$362 Million in Capital Expenditure

[SMM Aluminum Express News] October 6, 2025 – PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) has reported substantial advancement in its aluminum smelter initiative, with capital expenditure reaching US$362 million (approximately IDR 6.014 trillion) during the first semester of 2025. According to an official statement from ADRO Corporate Communication representative Karina Novianti, these allocated funds are being strategically deployed across three primary domains: acquisition of heavy operational equipment, development of supporting infrastructure, and construction of core aluminum smelting facilities.

The project, executed through ADRO's subsidiary PT Kalimantan Aluminium Industry (KAI), maintains its development schedule targeting initial production commencement by the conclusion of 2025. Project teams are currently concentrating on achieving first pot operation, a critical milestone in aluminum smelting processes, within the established timeframe. Upon reaching full operational capacity, the smelter's initial phase is projected to yield an annual output of 500,000 tons of aluminum ingots.
