Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 10, Chinese new energy vehicle maker Leapmotor officially launched the pre-sales of its first globally-oriented model in the B series, the Leapmotor B10. The new model comes in five variants, offering 510km and 600km CLTC range options, with pre-sale prices ranging from 109,800 yuan to 139,800 yuan.

Within just one hour, pre-sale orders for the B10 exceeded 15,010 units, with 73% of buyers opting for the LiDAR-equipped intelligent driving version. The B10 is scheduled to officially hit the market in April, with mass deliveries set to begin soon after.

LEAP 3.5 architecture: Next-level integration and intelligence

The success of the B10 reflects Leapmotor's commitment to full-stack in-house development, which has evolved over nearly a decade, now advancing from LEAP 1.0 to LEAP 3.5. Alongside the B10, Leapmotor also unveiled the latest LEAP 3.5 architecture, which enhances hardware and software integration while bringing high-end smart technologies to vehicles in the 100,000-yuan price range, significantly reducing production costs.

Key innovations of the LEAP 3.5 architecture in the B10 include:

- Advanced Central Domain Control Architecture

The new "Four Leaf Clover" central domain control architecture further enhances Leapmotor's four-domain integration, merging three major regional controllers into a single main controller. This significantly reduces wiring complexity and the number of ECUs while improving communication efficiency.

-Breakthrough in intelligent driving

The B10 is the first model globally to feature the 4nm Qualcomm 8650 smart driving chip and is the only vehicle in its price range equipped with LiDAR. It supports highway and urban intelligent navigation assist powered by end-to-end AI large-model, enabling autonomous lane changes, overtaking, and obstacle avoidance without relying on HD maps. These capabilities will continue to evolve via OTA updates, accelerating the widespread adoption of advanced intelligent driving.

-Enhanced intelligent cockpit with AI integration

The B10 features the high-performance Qualcomm 8295 chip paired with Leapmotor OS 4.0 Plus, enabling an immersive 3D visualization system. It also integrates dual AI large models—DeepSeek and Qwen—supporting voice, image, and multimodal inputs with millisecond-level response time. Additionally, the cabin offers karaoke function without microphones, with ambient lighting synchronized to music for an engaging experience.

-Super-integrated thermal management for extended range

The 27-in-1 super-integrated thermal management system operates efficiently in extreme temperatures ranging from -30°C to 55°C, optimizing over 25 thermal management modes to improve range by 10%. The B10 offers fast charging from 30% to 80% of its battery capacity in just 19 minutes.

-Highly efficient electric drive system

The 7-in-1 high-performance oil-cooled electric drive unit is an industry first, integrating VCU and MCU at the system level, with 15 key functions combined to enhance power response speed by five times, said Leapmotor. The B10 achieves 0-100 km/h acceleration in 6.8 seconds.

-Enhanced safety features

The LMC integrated motion control system brings luxury-grade safety features to the B10, ensuring vehicle stability even in extreme conditions, such as high-speed tire blowouts and slippery road surfaces.

Additionally, the B10 pioneers CTC 2.0 (Cell-to-Chassis) integration, merging the battery frame with the chassis to achieve an ultra-high torsional stiffness of 36,300 N·m/deg. The AI-powered battery management system provides real-time safety monitoring, offering early warnings for potential risks to ensure long battery life and high safety standards.

With LEAP 3.5's cutting-edge features, the B10 challenges conventional compromises in the sub-150,000-yuan market, delivering premium hardware, rapid software updates, and cost efficiencies driven by Leapmotor's full-stack in-house development.

Beyond its technological advancements, the B10 also boasts a modern, youthful design and a highly customizable interior. The front passenger area supports DIY expansion, allowing users to integrate folding tables, phone holders, and other accessories via a modular docking system. The seats can be fully reclined, creating a second living space, and when completely folded, they transform into a camping bed.
