SMM, February 14: This week coincided with the Lantern Festival holiday. The resumption progress of zinc downstream enterprises across the three major sectors continued to advance, with weekly operating rates showing a significant rebound WoW. Specifically, galvanizing enterprises have mostly resumed operations this week, but the weak performance of the ferrous market has led to overall weak orders. Die-casting zinc alloy enterprises also saw a considerable resumption this week, though overall consumption has yet to show a notable improvement, and some enterprises are still expected to resume operations next week. Zinc oxide enterprises similarly did not witness a significant increase in orders, but some began production mid-week, driving weekly operating rates higher. Some zinc downstream enterprises are still planning to resume operations next week, and operating rates are expected to continue rising.
