Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 10, FAW-Volkswagen's Volkswagen brand announced that its AI-powered digital content platform has been fully integrated with the DeepSeek large model, marking a new phase in intelligent marketing.

The DeepSeek-R1 model, built on an advanced deep learning architecture, excels in computational efficiency, inference speed, and generalization capabilities. With its integration into FAW-Volkswagen's intelligent content ecosystem for both the brand and its dealership network, the platform can now analyze market data more efficiently, gain deeper insights into consumer behavior, and generate high-quality marketing content tailored to user preferences.

The AI-driven digital content platform has already been in pilot operations at over 60 dealerships, covering more than 1,000 accounts. Initial results indicate a significant impact, with content production efficiency increasing by over 200% compared to previous methods.

According to the automaker, the adoption of DeepSeek represents a key milestone in FAW-Volkswagen's intelligence strategy. Moving forward, the brand will continue leveraging AI to better understand user needs, innovate marketing models, and lead the automotive industry’s digital transformation, delivering greater value to consumers.

DeepSeek, based on the Transformer architecture, has rapidly gained prominence in the global technology community due to its cost-effectiveness and open-source advantages. It has found broad applications across industries, including healthcare, finance, education, smart home technology, content creation, and intelligent transportation.

Several automakers, including Geely, Dongfeng Motor, IM Motors, Leapmotor, Baojun, and GAC Group have also announced integrations with DeepSeek.

Toyota Motor Corporation has decided to halt the development of its next-generation battery electric vehicles, specifically targeting a sedan model for its luxury brand Lexus that was originally planned to commence production in mid-2027. This vehicle, featuring fast-charging capabilities and longer cruising range, was showcased at the Japan Mobility Show in October 2023. Initially planned for market launch in 2026, its production start was later postponed to 2027. Over the past year, Toyota's global electric vehicle sales exceeded 190,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 42.4%. However, the decision by the Trump administration in the US to eliminate tax incentives for electric vehicle purchases has created adverse market conditions.
