Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 10, GAC Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (GAC Energy), a subsidiary of GAC Group, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Wintao Communications, a high-tech enterprise specializing in communication technology services.
Under the agreement, both parties will leverage their respective resources to advance comprehensive cooperation in the energy sector. This collaboration will encompass multiple areas, including integrated energy flagship stations for electric vehicle charging and battery swapping, photovoltaic energy storage, cross-industry integration, digitalization, and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) interaction.
Starting in the second half of 2024, GAC Energy and Wintao Communications will collaborate on the construction of public charging stations along expressways. Additionally, they will launch a major initiative to establish thousands of destination charging stations in diverse settings such as office buildings, residential communities, parking lots, and tourist attractions. This initiative aims to create high-quality, user-friendly energy replenishment infrastructure that enhances convenience for the public.
The latest cooperation came after GAC Energy signed a cooperation framework agreement with Foshan Communications Development Co., Ltd. for similar cooperative projects on June 12.
The agreement stipulates that both parties will capitalize on their respective resource advantages to jointly advance comprehensive cooperation in the energy sector, involving electric vehicle charging and battery swapping stations, integrated energy flagship stations featuring solar power storage and EV charging, cross-industry integration, digitalization, and V2G interaction as well. The aim is to deeply integrate transportation networks, information networks, and energy networks to create a unified energy replenishment network in the Foshan region. They plan to pioneer demonstration projects that integrate various functions such as V2G, leisure, and new energy vehicle sales, thereby establishing diverse energy replenishment scenarios that encompass people, vehicles, energy, and lifestyle in a new energy ecosystem.
