Ampere Unveils LFP and CTP Battery Strategy, Teaming Up with LG Energy Solution and CATL to Power Renault and Alpine Models in Europe

[Ampere Announces LFP and CTP Battery Plan] Ampere, a power battery subsidiary of Renault Group, announced a battery plan on July 2nd, which will adopt LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) technology as a supplement to the NCM (Ternary Battery) technology currently used by Renault Group.

Ampere is cooperating with its suppliers, LG Energy Solution and CATL, to establish a comprehensive lithium battery industry chain in the European continent to ensure that LFP technology has the best competitiveness in cars manufactured in Europe. These two partners will provide Ampere with LFP batteries, which will be equipped with multiple models of Renault and Alpine brands and will meet the battery demand of this technology until 2030.
