The recent launch of a strategic initiative for enhanced mining exploration has paved the way for the development of domestic iron ore resources  

The recent inauguration of the Hongge South Mine in Yanbian County, Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province, marks a significant move in advancing the full industrial chain development of domestic iron ore resources in China.

Recently, China has ramped up its development of domestic iron ore resources, initiating large-scale projects like the Liaoning Xianshan Iron Mine. Supported by relevant departments, numerous iron ore projects are set for rapid implementation, boosting the country's iron ore resource development. Data from the National Bureau of Statistics reveals that from January to February, domestic mines produced 17.586 million mt of ROM iron ore, up 14.4% YoY and 12.9% from 2022, marking the highest increases since 2018 for the same period. The capacity utilization rate also rose to 72.4%, up 7.4 YoY, indicating a significant boost in iron ore production.
