BYD SEAGULL model hits Colombian market

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Recently, BYD launched the BYD SEAGULL all-electric model in Colombia, according to its press release.

Drawing inspiration from oceanic themes, the BYD SEAGULL showcases vibrant color schemes and dynamic lines. Its aerodynamic body is characterized by smooth curves that convey a distinct sense of sportiness. The interior is crafted for elegance, offering ample space and comfort. Equipped with BYD's intelligent cockpit system and a 10.1-inch adaptive rotating touchscreen, the vehicle supports smart voice commands, karaoke, CarPlay, Android Auto, and more, providing a delightful and intelligent driving experience.

Built on the BYD e-Platform 3.0, the Seagull offers an exceptionally safe structure, said the company. The model is available in two versions, both equipped with BYD's Blade Battery, offering ranges of 300 km and 380 km under NEDC conditions, respectively. With the DC charging capability, the model's battery capacity can be charged from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes.

Li Nan, Deputy General Manager of BYD America Auto Sales Division, stated, "Since entering the automotive industry in 2003, BYD has been dedicated to advancing the development of electric mobility. Today, BYD has become the global leader in new energy vehicle sales, with cumulative sales surpassing 7 million vehicles worldwide. Looking ahead, we aim to bring more high-quality and reliable products to Colombian consumers. The introduction of the BYD SEAGULL will also make it possible for more Colombian youth to own their first battery electric vehicle.”

This year, BYD aims to expand its network to 20 dealerships across Colombia and will offer nine BEV (battery electric vehicle) and PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) models.
