Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On January 16, 2024, Vitesco Technologies Investment (China) Co., Ltd. and CATARC Automotive Test Center (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. signed a "New Energy Electric Drive and Control Joint Innovation Laboratory Strategic Cooperation Memorandum," marking a significant milestone in the joint endeavor to establish the "New Energy Joint Innovation Laboratory," according to Vitesco's press release.
The establishment of the New Energy Joint Innovation Laboratory will facilitate comprehensive exchanges and collaboration in fundamental research, common technology research, and cutting-edge technology research. The aim is to achieve resource synergy, complementary advantages, and mutual benefit, ultimately contributing to the creation of a lifestyle centered around clean transportation.
In April 2023, Vitesco Technologies' Tianjin laboratory, equipped with 55 units of testing equipment and occupying an area of nearly 2,000 square meters, officially commenced operations. The operational laboratory has effectively shortened product development and validation cycles, reducing testing costs and bolstering Vitesco Technologies' breakthroughs in the field of electrification.
CATARC Automotive Test Center (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary established by China Automotive Technology & Research Center ("CATARC"), plays an important role in serving China’s "Dual Carbon" strategy.
