Daewoo Heavy Industries secures a major contract for offshore wind power in Germany!
On December 18th, Daewoo Heavy Industries' wholly-owned subsidiary, Penglai Daewoo Marine Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., signed a "Supply Contract for Offshore Wind Power Group Project Foundations" with a European energy development company. The contract will provide a total of 105 single piles and related structures for Phases A and B of the offshore wind power group project in the North Sea region of Germany. The contract amount is approximately 626 million euros (about RMB 4.848 billion). The project plans to have an installed capacity of 1.6GW, making it the largest planned offshore wind farm in Germany. This contract is the largest overseas marine engineering order to date for Daewoo Heavy Industries, and it is expected that the products will be delivered starting from 2024.
