In Ningbo market, #0 zinc was traded at 21685~21770 yuan/mt. The spot prices of regular brand were quoted with premiums of 70 yuan/mt over the 2312 contract, and with premiums of 10 yuan/mt over the prices in the Shanghai market. Mainstream quotes in Ningbo market were generally against the 2312 contract. Some quotes were shifted to December contract.
In the first trading session, premiums of Tiefeng were 70~80 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2312 contract and 80~90 yuan/mt over the 2312 contract for Yongchang zinc and 100~110 yuan/mt for Qilin zinc. Spot premium continued to decline. In the second trading session, Tiefeng zinc was quoted with premiums of 70~80 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2312 zinc contract. Zinc prices continued to rise, and the downstream buyers purchased as required. Market transactions were poor.
