Operating Rates Of Licensed Secondary Lead Smelters In Four Regions

The operating rates of licensed secondary lead smelters across Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan and Inner Mongolia averaged 44.26% last week, down 1.89 percentage points from the prior week.

Last week, several smelters in Anhui reduced production due to shortage of raw materials, and the regional operating rate dropped by 4.56 percentage points; sample enterprises in Jiangsu did not significantly increased their output due to ongoing technical transformation; as the supply of battery scrap in Henan was still tight, output at smelters fell slightly; the supply of raw materials in Inner Mongolia was not sufficient, and output at smelters was low. A large secondary lead smelting plant in Hebei said that maintenance had been completed and would yield lead ingot this week.
