The average operating rate of die-casting zinc alloy plants recorded 47.21% last week a drop of 1.12 percentage points from the previous week. Raw material inventory was adequate due to stockpiling the previous week when prices dipped, and decreased marginally as producers worked through inventory.
Operating rates at large-scale manufacturers were stable last week but those of small and medium-sized manufacturers slid as new orders fell. Some manufacturers gave priority to consuming finished product inventory. Operating rates will rise this week on the back of stockpiling.
