From June 5 to June 11, 2023, SMM surveyed 33 bid-winning module projects at Chinese companies including GCL-Poly, Tongwei and Jinko Solar, of which 21 projects disclosed the installed capacity. The bid prices were 1.49-1.55 yuan/W; the weekly weighted average price was 1.61 yuan/W, down 0.02 yuan/W from the previous week.
The total installed capacity of bid-winning module projects reached 3,184.52 MW, a decrease of 18,474.54 MW compared with the previous week. Recently, the mainstream transaction price in the module market dropped to 1.4-1.45 yuan/W, and the concentrated procurement price of modules also gradually approached this range.
Near the middle of the year, the downstream will mainly complete the installation projects in the first half of the year, and the demand for modules is expected to pick up again in the third quarter.
