According to the People's Bank of China, China’s newly added social financing stood at 1.56 trillion yuan in May, up 331.2 billion yuan MoM, but down 1.31 trillion yuan YoY.
At the end of May, the balance of broad money (M2) was 282.05 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.6%. The growth rate was 0.8 percentage points lower than the end of the previous month and 0.5 percentage points higher than the same period of the previous year.
China’s newly added RMB loans were 1.36 trillion yuan in May, up from 718.8 billion yuan in April.
Newly added RMB deposits were 1.46 trillion yuan in May, down 1.58 trillion yuan YoY.
