The latest edition of the Asia-Pacific Economic Outlook, co-organised by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the China Financial Forty Forum (CF40), was launched in Beijing on May 11. This issue of the report predicts that economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region will rise to 4.6% this year, up from 3.8% last year, and that its contribution to global economic growth will be above 70%. China's economy is expected to grow by 5.2% this year, continuing to be the engine of growth for the Asia-Pacific region and the global economy - an expected level that has been revised upwards by 0.8 percentage point from the report released in October last year.
