SHANGHAI, Mar 31 (SMM) - On the supply side, the operating rates of the secondary aluminium continued to rise in March as some enterprises fully resumed work. Coupled with more working days in March, the output increased accordingly. In addition, the increasing raw material supply supported the production of secondary aluminium plants. However, the overall operating rates increased only slightly in March in light of weak demand and fierce market competition. Many enterprises and traders sold goods at low prices and their profits were not high, restricting the operating rates. The terminal demand has not increase significantly approaching April, and thus the operating rates of secondary aluminium is expected to remain stable with slight upside momentum in April.
