Five people died and three were seriously injured in a non-coal mine roof accident in Nanjiang County, Bazhong City, Sichuan Province.
According to the Sichuan emergency WeChat public account, at about 9:57 CST on February 26, a non-coal mine roof accident occurred in Nanjiang County, Bazhong City. After preliminary verification, 25 people entered the mine, while 17 people left the mine. Five people died so far. Three people were seriously injured, and the injured have been sent to the hospital for emergency treatment.
After receiving the report, Xia Fengjian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Emergency Management Department, immediately arranged rescue, and demanded that all efforts be made to rescue the wounded, strengthen on-site risk investigation and monitoring, prevent secondary disasters, ensure rescue safety, and lead a working group to rush to the scene to guide the disposal.
At present, the cause of the accident is under further investigation.
