SHANGHAI, Mar 2 (SMM) - The absence of a resurgence of COVID-19 cases after CNY holidays helped migrant workers to return to work post-holiday. However, the recovery of steel demand was dragged by uncertain commencement time for various real estate projects and the small growth in number. Demand fell compared to years past.
Infrastructure projects have contributed to most of the end-user demand for steel in February. After the CNY holidays, nearly half of the infrastructure enterprises resumed production before the lantern Festival and at the same time had more new projects.
