Commodity prices are expected to rise in 2023 as China's economy recovers and Russian oil production declines, said Jeff Currie, head of global commodities research at Goldman Sachs. "The economic recovery in China is the ground for bullish sentiment," he said on February 22, "And everything points to a very smooth recovery in China.”
Despite that the raw material prices got off to a weak start this year, Currie still stuck to his bullish view.
