SHANGHAI, Feb 16 (SMM) - Ports in north China: Australian ore 48-49 yuan/mtu, flat from the previous trading day, Australian ore 45.5-46.5 yuan/mtu, South African manganese semicarbonate ore 36-36.5 yuan/mtu, Gabonese ore 45.5-46 yuan/mtu, Brazilian ore 43.5-46 yuan/mtu, South African high-iron manganese ore 33.5-34 yuan/mtu. Ports in south China: Australian ore 48-49 yuan/mtu, flat from the previous trading day, Australian ore 45-46 yuan/mtu, South African manganese semicarbonate ore 39-39.5 yuan/mtu, Gabonese ore 44.5-45.5 yuan/mtu, Brazilian ore 44-45.5 yuan/mtu, South African high-iron manganese ore 33.5-34 yuan/mtu. According to SMM research, silicomanganese manufacturers were cautious in purchasing manganese ore, and were unwilling to accept high prices. However, considering the costs of mine, the decline was limited. At present, most miners were wait-and-see mood, and manganese ore prices hovered sideways.
