On January 12th, Guoxuan Hi-Tech (002074) announced that the consortium composed of Hefei Guoxuan Hi-Tech Power Co., Ltd. and China Electric Power Engineering Consulting Group Southwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. won the bid for "Huaibei Anhui Energy Storage Power Station Phase I (103MW/206MWh) Project General contract" project, with a bid amount of 394 million yuan.
The Huaibei Waneng energy storage power station project is located in Songyi Town, Huaibei City, Anhui Province, and belongs to Anhui Waneng Co., Ltd., with a total scale of 1GWh. The project adopts overall design and construction by stages. Among them, the construction scale of the first phase is 103MWamp 206MWh. the construction period is 270 days. Hefei Guoxuan is responsible for the battery energy storage system on the DC side of the project. After the completion of the project, it will become the Electroweb side lithium iron phosphate energy storage power station with the largest unit capacity in China.
The successful completion of the project will effectively alleviate the impact of large-scale local new energy grid connection on the safe and stable operation of Electroweb, and provide experience and reference for the business model and market development of the domestic energy storage market, the announcement said.
For Guoxuan Hi-Tech, the successful winning of the project will help promote the omni-directional cooperation between Hefei Guoxuan and Anhui Waneng Co., Ltd. in energy storage, zero-carbon park, photovoltaic and other aspects. help the company accumulate energy storage business experience, enrich the application of related products, improve customer structure, and further enhance the company's position and influence in the energy storage market.
According to Bloomberg New Energy Finance statistics, the total installed capacity of the global energy storage system is 63GW in 2020, and this figure is expected to reach 1916GW in 2050, achieving a compound annual growth rate of 18%. Driven by the strategic goal of "double carbon", the development of renewable energy such as photovoltaic and wind power to replace fossil energy will be an important way to boost China's carbon peak goal. The "new energy + energy storage mode" will provide strong support for the large-scale development and grid integration of renewable energy.
