SMM: the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei hydrogen fuel cell vehicle demonstration city cluster, which has been declared by Beijing since September 2020, has been jointly approved as the first batch of model cities by five ministries and commissions, including the Ministry of Finance, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Energy Administration, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Science and Technology, the official Weibo of Beijing Finance announced on Aug. 23.

It is reported that the urban agglomeration is composed of 12 cities in six districts, including Daxing District, Haidian and Changping, Shandong Binzhou and Zibo, as well as Hebei Baoding, Tangshan and Tianjin Binhai New area. During the following four-year demonstration period, the five ministries will reward the shortlisted urban agglomerations in accordance with the achievement of their goals by the way of "award instead of compensation".
It is worth mentioning that in order to further promote the development of the hydrogen energy industry, Beijing has initially established a series of financial support policies, including, but not limited to, providing one-time quota subsidies to hydrogen refueling stations above size. focus on encouraging and guiding hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in urban construction logistics, long-distance transportation, suburban passenger transport and other scenarios and batch demonstration and other decision-making. It covers the research and development of key technologies, the construction and operation of hydrogen filling stations, as well as vehicle purchase subsidies and other aspects.
