SMM August 23: August 9, the Ministry of Ecological Environment issued a notice on the release of the national eco-environmental standard "Technical Specification for pollution Control of waste Lithium Ion Power batteries (for trial implementation)". It is mentioned in the announcement that in order to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the people's Republic of China and the Law of the people's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental pollution by solid waste, to prevent and protect the environment, and to standardize and guide the treatment process of waste lithium-ion power batteries, the Technical Specification for pollution Control of waste Lithium-ion Power batteries (for trial implementation) is hereby issued as a national eco-environmental standard for the time being.
It is reported that the standard will be implemented from January 1, 2022, which specifies in detail the overall requirements for the treatment of waste lithium-ion power batteries, the technical requirements for pollution control in the treatment process, the requirements for pollutant emission control and environmental monitoring, and the requirements for operating environmental management, which are applicable to the pollution control in the treatment process of waste lithium-ion power batteries. It can be used as a technical reference for the environmental impact assessment of construction projects, construction and operation, acceptance of completed environmental protection, and pollution discharge permit management for the treatment of waste lithium-ion power batteries.
