Throw 3.9 billion plus yards of lithium iron phosphate battery! Yiwei Lithium Energy plans to build the second phase of passenger car power battery project] Huizhou Yiwei Power, a subsidiary of Yiwei Lithium Energy, plans to invest its own and self-raised funds to build the "passenger car Lithium Ion Power Battery Project (Phase II)" with an investment amount of no more than 3.9 billion yuan. The construction content of the second phase of the project is square lithium iron phosphate battery, the construction period is not more than 18 months, covering an area of about 175 mu.

On the evening of March 10th, Yiwei Lithium Energy (300014) announced that Huizhou Yiwei Power Battery Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the company, plans to invest its own and self-raised funds in the construction of the "passenger car Lithium Ion Power Battery Project (Phase II)" with an investment of no more than 3.9 billion yuan.

The announcement shows that the construction content of the second phase of the project is square lithium iron phosphate battery, the construction period is not more than 18 months, covering an area of about 175 mu. The company said that this investment is in line with the company's development strategy and long-term planning, and will further improve the company's power battery capacity.

The battery network learned that on the evening of February 19, Yiwei Lithium Energy announced that Huizhou Yiwei Power plans to invest in the construction of "passenger car Lithium Ion Power Battery Project (Phase I)" and "xHEV Battery system Project (Phase I)" with an investment of no more than 1 billion yuan and 2.6 billion yuan respectively.

Among them, passenger car lithium-ion power battery project (phase I) project content is square lithium iron phosphate cell and module; xHEV battery system project (phase I) project content is 12V and 48V battery system. Huizhou Yiwei Power's investment mainly meets the supporting needs of customers such as international well-known car companies and domestic car-building new forces.

Behind the expansion of Yiwei lithium capacity is the strength of overseas orders and domestic customers.

On February 25th, Yiwei LiNeng announced that it was involved in the Jaguar Land Rover Limited (Jaguar Land Rover (hereinafter referred to as "JLR") 48V battery system project, and recently received a supplier fixed point letter from JLR, named "20Ah MHEV Battery".

As early as October 15, 2020, Yiwei LiNeng announced that it had participated in the (BMW Group) battery system project of the German BMW Group and received a supplier fixed point letter from the German BMW Group, the designated project name is "BK 48V".

As early as July 2020, Yiwei Lithium was able to receive a point letter from brilliance BMW supplier, becoming the second Chinese power battery manufacturer to enter BMW's supply chain after Ningde era.

According to a research report released by Everbright Securities, Yiwei lithium power battery customers include Daimler, Hyundai Kia, Xiaopeng, BMW and Jaguar Land Rover, and the customer quality is in the first echelon in China. With the completion of the company's power battery capacity and large-scale overseas supply in 2022, most of the company's revenue will be contributed by power batteries, realizing a leap in quality and quantity from consumer batteries to power batteries, and the company's valuation level is expected to rise.

In addition, Yiwei LiNeng also actively develops the layout of the upstream industrial chain. On January 26th, Yiwei LiNeng and its controlling shareholder, Tibet Yiwei Holdings Co., Ltd., planned to jointly subscribe for the non-publicly issued shares of Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co., Ltd. with its own and self-raised funds of 1.8 billion yuan, of which the total subscription price of the company is 300 million yuan, and that of Yiwei Holdings is 1.5 billion yuan.

In the field of electrolyte, Yiwei Lithium Energy has long been laid out: in March 2018, Yiwei Lithium Energy and New Zebang jointly contributed 100 million yuan to set up Jingmen New Zebang New Materials Co., Ltd., Yiwei Lithium Energy contributed 20 million yuan to account for 20% of the registered capital.
