On August 30, 2020, Ganzhou rare Earth Mining Co., Ltd. organized the "Evaluation report on the effect of groundwater process Supervision and Terminal treatment measures in Longnan Huangsha and Dingnan Egongkeng Watershed of Ganzhou rare Earth Mine" and "Ganzhou rare Earth Mine Integration Project (Phase I). Groundwater pollution prevention and control measures construction plan" expert discussion meeting, the meeting believes that the groundwater process supervision and terminal treatment measures are basically feasible. The construction plan of the first phase of integrated groundwater pollution prevention and control measures in the mining area is arranged scientifically, the process route is feasible, and the investment estimate is reasonable.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Municipal Natural Resources Bureau, the Ecological Environment Bureau, Jiangxi Nuclear Industry 264th Battalion, and China Enfei Engineering and Technology Co., Ltd. The meeting was chaired by Zhong Ruilin, general manager of Ganzhou rare Earth Mining Co., Ltd. Liu Weijiang, director of the Ecological Environment Supervision Technology Center of the Ministry of soil and Agricultural villages of the Ministry of Ecological Environment, Sun Wenliang, professor of China Enfei Engineering and Technology Co., Ltd., Professor Rao Yunzhang of Jiangxi University of Technology, Li Qing senior engineer of Mining and Metallurgical Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd., Jiangxi Applied Technology Vocational College and other five experts jointly set up an argumentation expert group.

The expert group successively heard the report of Jiangxi Nuclear Industry 264th Brigade on the evaluation report on the effect of groundwater process supervision and terminal treatment measures in the Longnan Huangsha and Dingnan Egongkeng basins of Ganzhou rare Earth Mine, and the report of China Enfei on the Construction Plan of groundwater pollution Prevention and Control measures for the Ganzhou rare Earth Mine Integration Project (Phase I). Participants discussed and exchanged views on the evaluation report and the construction plan. The meeting held that the technology of groundwater process supervision and terminal treatment measures is basically feasible; the site layout of the construction plan of the first phase of integrated groundwater pollution prevention and control measures in the mining area is scientific, the process route is feasible, and the investment estimate is relatively reasonable. The expert group and the leaders of the Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and the Bureau of Ecological Environment fully affirmed the two reports and put forward some professional suggestions at the same time.

The environmental assessment of ionic rare earth mines started relatively late in China, and there is no precedent for the application of underground water pollution control measures in rare earth mines, and the prevention and control measures are put forward on the basis of experience and theoretical calculation, resulting in difficulties in the actual construction and implementation. It is difficult to achieve the desired results. The process supervision and terminal treatment measures of groundwater in rare earth mines have been demonstrated by experts, which indicates that the prevention and control of groundwater pollution in ionic rare earth mines has taken a big step forward. it fills the gap that there are no effective measures for the prevention and control of groundwater pollution in rare earth mines in southern Jiangxi, and has important guiding significance for promoting the green development of rare earth industry in southern Jiangxi.

En septembre 2026, Neo Performance Materials a annoncé que son usine d'aimants permanents de Narva, en Estonie, avait démarré sa production commerciale, avec un premier lot d'aimants NdFeB frittés livré à un client fabricant de moteurs de traction pour véhicules électriques. L'usine a été mise en service en septembre 2025, avec une capacité de phase 1 de 2 000 tonnes par an et une phase 2 d'environ 5 000 tonnes par an en cours de conception. L'objectif mondial à long terme est de 20 000 tonnes par an, l'oxyde de dysprosium et l'oxyde de terbium étant sécurisés grâce à l'accord Carester. L'importance de cet événement ne réside pas dans « l'ajout d'une usine de 2 000 tonnes de plus », mais dans le fait qu'il met simultanément sur la table la base existante, la croissance en cours de construction et les goulets d'étranglement en matières premières de la capacité d'aimants hors de Chine.

【SMM Info Flash Terres Rares】 Neo Performance Materials a signé un accord pour fournir la technologie finale de séparation par extraction au solvant au projet Phalaborwa de Rainbow Rare Earths en Afrique du Sud. Le système extraira les terres rares du phosphogypse, visant 1 800 t/an de NdPr et environ 80 t/an de Dy/Tb. En contrepartie, Neo recevra des droits sur 40 % de la production annuelle de NdPr et 65 % du concentré enrichi. L'accord est non contraignant, les conditions de coopération à long terme étant en cours de négociation. Des essais sont en cours dans l'installation de Neo en Estonie, suivis d'une usine pilote de séparation à Johannesburg. Rainbow prévoit une EEP au T4 et une EDF au S1 de l'année prochaine.

Cette semaine, les prix des terres rares hors de Chine sont restés globalement stables, l'oxyde de lanthane progressant légèrement et l'oxyde de terbium reculant un peu. Les développements dans l'exploration, la fusion et les politiques des projets à l'étranger ont été nombreux : mises à jour des ressources au Brésil, au Canada, au Groenland et en Arabie saoudite ; expansions de capacités au Japon, en France et chez Lynas attendues pour 2027-2028 ; commercialisation de l'usine d'aimants de Neo, une entreprise américaine obtenant des commandes militaires ; l'Argentine faisant avancer la législation sur les terres rares, et Arafura concluant un accord éolien à long terme. La croissance de l'offre à court terme est limitée, et une libération à grande échelle prendra du temps.
