Local governments will issue support policies for new energy vehicles to go to the countryside

SMM News: in order to promote the promotion and application of new energy vehicles in rural areas, guide rural residents to upgrade their travel mode, and promote the strategy of beautiful rural construction and rural revitalization. On July 15, 2020, the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the General Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Village and the General Office of the Ministry of Commerce jointly issued a notice on the activities of new energy vehicles going to the countryside.

The theme of this visit to the countryside is "Green, Intelligent and safe-stepping into a 'New' era and promoting the Strategy of Rural Revitalization", which will take place from July 2020 to December 2020.

The organization of the event:

(1) this activity is entrusted to the China Association of Automobile Industries to organize and implement, and the competent departments in charge of industry and information, agriculture, rural areas and commerce (hereinafter collectively referred to as various localities) are invited to do a good job of cooperation.

(2) arrange one kick-off event (Qingdao City, Shandong Province, scheduled for late July) and four special activities (located in Haikou City, Hainan Province, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, and Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, from late August to late September), a series of enterprise activities.

(3) during the event, the local people's government shall issue relevant policies in the region to support the transfer of new energy vehicles to the countryside, and participate in the issuance of active models and preferential measures by automobile enterprises.

(4) to carry out publicity and reports on activities through the propaganda platforms of relevant ministries and local governments, the self-owned and linked media publicity platforms of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, and the communication channels of various automobile enterprises.

Activity requirements:

(1) strengthen organizational leadership. All localities should attach great importance to and cooperate closely with each other, strengthen the guarantee of personnel and funds, and ensure that all activities are carried out smoothly and achieve practical results. At the same time, we must resolutely implement the spirit of the eight regulations of the Central Committee and persist in running activities frugally.

(2) do a good job in ensuring safety. All localities should strictly abide by the local epidemic prevention and control requirements, and on the premise of regular epidemic prevention and control, strengthen safety protection and strictly prevent the occurrence of accidents. It is necessary to formulate work plans, safety plans, and emergency plans for epidemic prevention and control, refine work measures, clarify the division of responsibilities, and ensure that tasks are implemented.

(3) pay attention to the guidance of public opinion. All localities should use the news media, Weibo and WeChat, radio and television, and other channels to focus on publicizing the advantages of new energy vehicles, such as green, intelligent, safe, and low cost, good driving experience, convenient maintenance, and rich configuration options, so as to create a good public opinion environment for the promotion and application of new energy vehicles.
