1. Orders for hand-held ships fell 8.2% at the end of September compared with the same period last year.

From January to September, 27.51 million deadweight tons were completed for export ships, up 9 percent from the same period last year; 18.42 million deadweight tons were accepted for export ships, down 22.3 percent from the same period last year; and 72.98 million deadweight tons were ordered for hand-held export ships at the end of September, down 5 percent from the same period last year. Export ships accounted for 93.7%, 94.6% and 91.9% of the national shipbuilding completion, new orders and handheld orders, respectively.
