Zhuzhou Metallurgical Co., Ltd. intends to invest 338 million in the construction of 300000 tons of zinc-based materials project for 8 months.

SMM1, 21 March: Zhuzhou Metallurgical Group announced on the evening of January 18 that the company intends to set up a joint venture holding subsidiary in Nanzhou Industrial Park, Lukou District, Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, to set up a new holding subsidiary with an annual output of 300000 tons of zinc-based materials, with an estimated investment of 338 million yuan. The construction period of the project is 8 months, and the total annual profit of investment is about 45 million yuan.

It is understood that in recent years, in order to continue business development and brand strategy, the company continues to carry out strategic upgrading, the company in Hengyang Changning City, Hunan Province, Shuikoushan Economic Development Zone Industrial Park to build 300000 tons of zinc smelting project. December 26, 2018, China Minmetals Hunan Nonferrous Copper, lead and Zinc Industry Base Hunan Zhuye Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd. to achieve a successful feeding.

It is understood that the copper, lead and zinc industry base has been demonstrated in detail in the early stage, and the process has been optimized and innovated. The first phase of the zinc project Hunan Zhuye Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd. uses the world's largest 152 boiling roaster, the world's largest single series of 300000 tons of leaching and OTC solution deep purification system, the industry's largest oxygen-rich volatile rotary kiln and other large facilities. The use of leading industry indium direct extraction technology, intelligent manufacturing, heavy metal industrial wastewater treatment zero discharge technology.

The proposed joint venture project with an annual production capacity of 300000 tons of zinc-based materials is expected to generate a total annual profit of about 45 million yuan and a total investment return of 15.36 percent after the completion of the project, which is expected to recover the investment within eight years or so.

A relevant person in Zhuzhou Metallurgical Group said: "the main purpose of this project is to open up the market for zinc-based materials and improve the market competitiveness of the company. At present, the promotion of the project is organically combined with the transformation of the old industrial zone, and the company is able to stabilize the external market. Stabilizing the internal team has had a positive impact. "

A relevant person in the group also said: "the new project with an annual production capacity of 300000 tons of zinc-based materials has been approved by the environmental protection department. The raw material of the project is secondary zinc products, and the three wastes produced in the production process are less, all the slag materials produced are recycled and innocuous treatment, zero discharge of wastewater, strict dedusting treatment of tail gas, and the risk of environmental protection can be controlled. "

In addition to announcing the progress of the new project, the announcement also announced that the company had completely shut down the production capacity of Qingshuitang in Shifeng District, Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province at the end of December 2018.

On December 30, 2018, the direct lead smelting Keefset furnace, which had been burning for five years, stopped working. Zhuzhou smelting Group Co., Ltd., which belongs to China Minmetals Group, also shut down its smelting capacity in Qingshuitang area of Zhuzhou City after 63 years of operation. Zhuzhou people for decades on the Qingshuitang glory and humiliation, sweat and tears, has since become a memory.

It is understood that the Qingshuitang Old Industrial Zone is a key industrial base built by the state during the first five-year Plan and the second five-year Plan period. After more than 60 years of development, it has formed an industrial pattern dominated by smelting and chemical industry. During the peak period, 261 enterprises, such as Zhuzhou smelting Group and Zhongyan Zhuzhou Chemical Group, collected more than 48 billion yuan in profits and taxes, which made important contributions to the industrial revitalization of New China and the economic and social development of Hunan Province and Zhuzhou City.

However, the extensive development model of "high consumption, high emission and high pollution" followed for a long time in the old industrial area has brought serious pollution to the city. Zhuzhou was listed as the "top ten air pollution cities in China" for two consecutive years in 2003 and 2004. There is a strong response from the public, and the drinking water safety of 10 million residents in the middle and lower reaches of the Xiangjiang River is also seriously threatened.

For the benefit of the people, Zhuzhou City rose to fight against pollution, made up its mind to eliminate the backward production capacity of the old industrial zone, and carried out a series of technological transformation, which initially curbed the trend of continued deterioration of the environment. However, due to the backwardness of equipment and technology in most enterprises, the total amount of pollutants discharged in the area is too large, do not hurt muscles and bones, environmental pollution can not be cured.

The concept of green development put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping points out the direction for the future of Qingshuitang Old Industrial Zone. Zhuzhou Municipal Party Committee, the municipal government made up their minds, would rather give up Jinshan Yinshan, but also to switch back to green water and green mountains.

On October 16, 2018, Zhuzhou Metallurgical Group received 200 million yuan of special financial funds issued by Zhuzhou Municipal Finance Bureau for the withdrawal of Qingshuitang production capacity. On December 13, 2018, Zhuzhou Metallurgical Group said that the central government subsidy fund of 21.24 million yuan allocated by China Minmetals Group, the actual controller of the company, was specially used to subsidize the diversion and resettlement expenses of the company's staff and workers.

On December 28, 2018, Zhuzhou Metallurgical Group said that in accordance with the requirements of the state and provincial and municipal governments, the company shut down the smelting capacity in the Qingshuitang production area and was carrying out clean-up work. It is understood that on the morning of December 30, Zhuzhou smelting Group Co., Ltd. in the Qingshuitang area of the last operating smelting furnace Kiefset furnace was officially shut down. This means that the industrial capacity of Zhuzhou Qingshuitang Old Industrial Zone has since been completely shut down and withdrawn.

With the shutdown of smelting capacity in Qingshuitang production area, Shifeng District, Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, and the new 300000 tons of zinc smelting project in Shuikoushan Industrial Park, Hengyang City, the company has been started and put into production. Green transformation, cage for birds, in the clear water pond flying around the black crow ran, leaving behind for the development of new kinetic energy prepared for the "Phoenix nest."
