Production cuts shrink social inventories of primary aluminium 

SHANGHAI, Oct 25 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, came in at 1.538 million mt as of Thursday October 25, down some 45,000 mt from Thursday October 18, SMM data showed.

High costs and cash flow issues drove some aluminium producers to cut production, and this accounted for the decline in stocks.
