SHANGHAI, Oct. 10 (SMM) – Three NPI producers in major producing regions have received the notice of suspending production, and this has grown market expectation over NPI supply shortages, supporting high-grade NPI price.

At present, NPI producers in north China make offers at around 920 yuan per mtu (ex-works price, including tax), and supplying volume is low. So far, no deals have been heard.

[SMM Stainless Steel Flash] Taiwan (PoC) finds preliminary injury in AD case on Vietnamese cold-rolled stainless

Taiwan (PoC) made an affirmative preliminary injury finding on 12 October in its anti-dumping case on Vietnamese cold-rolled stainless, citing rising, lower-priced imports since 2023. A preliminary dumping decision, including possible provisional duties, is due within 70 days, around late December. Vietnam has meanwhile accepted an AD petition on cold-rolled stainless from Taiwan (PoC), China and Indonesia.
