Spot zinc premiums in Shanghai will fall in the near term due to more arriving shipments, SMM predicts.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 22 (SMM) – Spot zinc premiums in Shanghai will fall in the near term due to more arriving shipments, SMM predicts.

Zinc Deficit Unlikely Ease in Foreseeable Future without Large Zinc Mine Projects

The reopening of import profit window attracted more imported zinc to flow in Shanghai, and more such goods are expected in the near term.

Shandong Zinc Oxide Plants Shut down for Environmental Protection, SMM Reports

In the meantime, some goods will flow into Shanghai from Guangdong, and will weigh on domestic prices, SMM explained.
