Zinc Spot Premiums Shrink across China Major Markets, Domestic Brands Still Insufficient, SMM Reports

Spot premiums on #0 zinc shrank in Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangdong markets on June 20, narrowing 20-50 yuan per tonne and 100 yuan per tonne from yesterday, respectively, in Shanghai and Guangdong, SM

SHANGHAI, Jun. 20 (SMM) - Spot premiums on #0 zinc shrank in Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangdong markets on June 20, narrowing 20-50 yuan per tonne and 100 yuan per tonne from yesterday, respectively, in Shanghai and Guangdong, SMM reported.

Zinc smelters in Shanghai sold proactively since zinc prices continue rising. Cargo holders in Guangdong were also enthusiastic to sell, but trading was quiet.

Zinc Market to See Range-Bound Trading This Week, SMM Foresees

Domestic brands still witnessed supply tightness. And trading was mainly made for imported resources.

SMM Releases Operating Rates Results at Zinc Downstream Industries in May

#0 zinc traded in a 22,510-22,800 yuan per tonne range in Shanghai June 20. #0 zinc prices in Guangdong were 22,550-22,620 yuan per tonne and 22,550-23,560 yuan per tonne in Tianjin.
