SHANGHAI, Oct. 15 (SMM) – A pickup in ignition battery consumption with temperature getting cold, drives up production at Chinese automobile battery makers heading into October, SMM points out.
Three ignition battery makers plan to increase 20-30% operation, three producers to grow 10% production and four makers to keep production unchanged, SMM surveys.
Demand for ignition batteries increased since late September, pushing up battery orders, some producers noted. Moreover, purchase tax of passenger vehicles with emission not over 1.6 liters is lowered to 5% from 10%, effectively October 1, 2015. This also helps to boost consumption on car, growing demand for automobile batteries.
Even so, overall prices of ignition batteries still lack rising strength on the back of oversupply and falling demand.
