ANKARA (Scrap Register): Turkish HMS 1/2 80:20 scrap import average prices (CFR Iskenderun Port, Turkey) continued to advance week-on-week to $236 a ton in the week ended August 07, as per the latest figures from the Steel Index.
According to TSI, daily benchmark index for deep-sea Turkish imports of HMS #1&2 80:20 gained $2 a ton from last Friday to end the week at $236 a ton CFR Iskenderun port.

Trade was quiet, but the few cargoes that were booked were done so at slightly higher pricing than was seen previously.
The next round of purchases will be telling – will the market remain stable, or will the large drop in US domestic prices mean more aggressive US export offers are made.
