SHANGHAI, Jun. 9 (SMM) – One leading e-bike battery producer cut 50 yuan each set for 48v12Ah batteries from May’s 330 yuan each set due to poor downstream demand, SMM learned.
Traditionally, battery producers begin to build stocks in June for the upcoming peak season, but this year’s weak demand dampened their producing interest.
Motive battery distributors also cut prices to 280 yuan each set for 48v12Ah batteries and 480 yuan each set for 48v20Ah batteries in some regions recently. Some less known battery prices fell 20-30 yuan per set following the famous ones.
