POSCO Future M avanza en planes de expansión de LFP y materiales para ánodos

POSCO Future M dijo que continúa asegurando nuevos pedidos de clientes para su negocio de materiales catódicos, mientras se prepara para reforzar la competitividad de costos en los materiales catódicos de LFP.

La empresa dijo que planea aplicar un nuevo proceso de producción de LFP a partir de 2029 tras ingresar al mercado. Se espera que el proceso aproveche la cadena de suministro interna del Grupo POSCO, que incluye subproductos de acerías y materias primas de litio, para obtener una ventaja de costos.

En cuanto al negocio de materiales anódicos, POSCO Future M informó que su planta de grafito artificial en Vietnam tiene previsto iniciar operaciones de prueba en la segunda mitad del próximo año, mientras que su planta de grafito esférico en Saemangeum comenzará operaciones de prueba en la primera mitad del próximo año.

A través de estos proyectos, la empresa busca elevar su tasa de utilización de materiales anódicos a más del 70 % el próximo año y a más del 90 % el año siguiente.

The management of enterprise announcements for "second-life application" will no longer be conducted, and enterprises already announced as "second-life application" enterprises will be removed from the list of enterprises conforming to the industry standards for comprehensive utilization of NEV used power batteries. The list of enterprises already announced for disassembly recycling remains valid. Battery products produced by enterprises using used power batteries must meet the quality standards and requirements of their application fields. No organization or individual may use whole used power batteries, or their components processed through splitting, reorganizing, assembling, or related techniques, in the form of battery packs, modules, or cells, in e-bikes or other fields where such use is prohibited by laws, administrative regulations, and mandatory standards.
