China Qinfa Group announced that its subsidiary SDE has signed a coal supply agreement with Zhejiang Energy Asia Pacific for the sale of 75,000 mt of Indonesian thermal coal, with a permitted volume adjustment of up to 10%. Deliveries will commence in June 2026 and continue until the contracted volume is fully delivered and settled. The company said the agreement constitutes a connected transaction under Hong Kong listing rules but is exempt from shareholder approval requirements, with the board considering the deal fair, reasonable, and beneficial to the company.

Holtec International y EDF Energy han presentado una propuesta conjunta al gobierno del Reino Unido para desplegar cuatro pequeños reactores modulares SMR-300 en la central eléctrica de carbón retirada de Cottam, en Nottinghamshire. El proyecto pretende transformar la antigua instalación de combustibles fósiles en un nuevo centro de energía nuclear, con cada reactor de agua a presión diseñado para generar alrededor de 300 MW de capacidad eléctrica neta. De aprobarse, sería el primer plan formal del Reino Unido para reconvertir una gran central de carbón clausurada en una planta de pequeños reactores nucleares modulares.
