According to Macao Radio, the SAR government is encouraging the gradual expansion of green energy use, and has planned to install solar PV power generation systems in new public buildings and sports venues. The Environmental Protection Bureau said that a super charging station for light and heavy vehicles will be set up in the Cotai area in mid-2026, and more charging and battery swapping facilities will be added at existing or temporary public car parks and on public streets in the future, based on community needs and site conditions, to continuously enhance the convenience of using EVs. Legislative Assembly member Liang Hongxi submitted a written interpellation concerning the impact of international energy price fluctuations on Macao and the promotion of the society’s transition from oil to electricity. In response, the Environmental Protection Bureau, after consulting the Economic and Technological Development Bureau, the Consumer Council, and the Social Welfare Bureau, said the SAR government continuously monitors the fuel supply and price stability in Macao, actively maintains close communication with the fuel industry through the interdepartmental fuel inspection team, and calls for various discounts.

The latest statistics from the Ningbo Energy Administration show that as of the end of May this year, the installed capacity of distributed PV in Ningbo reached 9.74 million kW, ranking first among all prefecture-level cities in China, and Ningbo’s PV power generation accounted for 10.24% of the total electricity consumption of the whole society. “That means, for every 10 kilowatt-hours of electricity used in production and daily life in Ningbo, one comes from the sun,” said a relevant official from the Ningbo Energy Administration. To accelerate the adjustment of the energy mix, Ningbo began implementing “PV+” projects in ten major areas, including water surfaces, mudflats, agriculture, industry, and commerce, five years ago. Subsequently, relevant policies and measures were introduced to promote the integrated development of distributed PV with industry, transportation, new infrastructure, and rural revitalization. “Ningbo is advancing the development of distributed PV across the entire city to accelerate emission reductions and carbon reduction in this industrial city,” the official said, adding that industrial rooftops account for as much as 84% of the installed capacity, followed closely by residential rooftops at about 8.6%.

The research team successfully fabricated a large-area all-perovskite tandem PV module, which was certified by the Japan Electrical Safety & Environment Technology Laboratories (JET) with a photoelectric conversion efficiency as high as 26.2%, setting a new world record for all-perovskite tandem modules of the same area class. The module has an area of 65 square centimeters and adopts a tunneling recombination junction structure without a hole transport layer. The team innovatively replaced the traditional ultra-thin metal composite layer with a nanocrystalline functional layer, and removed the PEDOT:PSS hole transport layer, achieving structural reconstruction of the interface connection layer.
