[SMM Iron & Steel] Champion Iron Bloom Lake DRPF Project Targets Q2 2026 Commissioning

Champion Iron Limited confirmed on April 29, 2026, that its Direct Reduction Pellet Feed (DRPF) project at the Bloom Lake mine in Canada is advancing as planned. Following successful production tests in March, the company expects to produce commercially sellable product by the end of June 2026 (calendar Q2). This follows the strategic acquisition of Norwegian high-purity iron ore producer Rana Gruber, which closed in April 2026, positioning Champion as a critical supplier of premium, low-impurity feedstock (69% Fe) for the global green steel transition.
