[SMM Aluminum Express News] Norsk Hydro is supplying low-carbon, recycled aluminum (Hydro CIRCAL) to the reECONIC Mercedes-Benz Trucks project, supporting circular material use in commercial vehicles. The delivery includes 600 kg of extruded components made from ≥75% post-consumer scrap, demonstrating that recycled aluminum can meet structural and safety requirements while significantly reducing carbon footprint.

Aluminum Production Outside China Down 10.2% YoY in April 2026, Expected to Continue Declining

According to SMM statistics, total aluminum production outside China declined 10.2% YoY in April 2026, with daily average production down 10.0% MoM, mainly due to the further impact of production cuts at Middle Eastern smelters.
