Indonesia Proposes Electric Motorcycle Incentives, Targeting 6 Million Units with Subsidies

[SMM Express News] Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Indonesia’s Finance Minister, has proposed electric motorcycle incentives to be rolled out this year, initially targeting ~6 million units with subsidies of around Rp5 million per unit. The program, backed by Prabowo Subianto, aims to support the gradual conversion of up to 120 million gasoline motorcycles to electric over 3–4 years, accelerating energy transition and reducing fuel subsidy burdens.
