This week, premiums in Guangdong dropped by around 10 yuan/mt WoW. As of this Friday, mainstream 0# zinc in Guangdong was quoted at premiums of -105~-85 yuan/mt against the market, with the Shanghai-Guangdong price spread narrowing. Zinc price centers continued to rise during the week, while end-use demand in Guangdong was mediocre, and enterprises were cautious in procurement. However, with month-end approaching and tightened invoice quotas in Guangdong, traders held firm on quotations, providing some support to premiums. However, as enterprises launch routine rigid-demand stockpiling ahead of the Labour Day holiday, premiums are expected to maintain a fluctuating trend.
