Energy Vault has acquired an 850 MW battery energy storage (BESS) project portfolio in Japan, marking its entry into the market.

The company expects strong growth driven by grid constraints and rapid renewable expansion, and also aims to leverage rising demand from AI computing.

Daemyung Energy Secures KRW 67 Billion BESS Contracts

Renewable energy company Daemyung Energy announced on April 17 that it has signed EPC contracts for the “Goheung Naro BESS” project in Goheung County and the “Gwangyang Hwanggeum BESS” project in Gwangyang. Lastest Launch of Battery Energy Storage Plant in Hung Yen Vietnam

GG Power has officially launched a battery energy storage plant in Hung Yen Province, marking a major step in Vietnam’s renewable energy push. The VNĐ300 billion facility has a capacity of 5GWh per year and features over 90% automation, supplying storage solutions for households, businesses, and the national grid. Developed with technology licensed from Goldwind, the plant aims to boost domestic tech capability and reduce reliance on imports. Officials say energy storage will be key as Vietnam targets up to 16GW of battery capacity in the coming years.
