Changan Auto and Partners Successfully Trial-Produced Lightweight Magnesium Alloy E-Drive Housing

On March 30, 2026, the “ultra-large, corrosion-resistant, creep-resistant” magnesium alloy e-drive housing jointly developed by Changan Automobile, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Chongqing University, Chenzhi Lightweighting, and Qingshan Industry was successfully trial-produced through die casting at Fengyang Aiersi, achieving a lightweight transition of “replacing aluminum with magnesium.”
