【SMM Steel】South Korea to launch 4-year periodic anti-dumping audits

【SMM Steel】South Korea's Customs Service will implement regular four-year audits for all 28 products under AD duties, including carbon steel plate and PET film, starting this month. The move aims to counter rising protectionism and oversupply. AD cases rose from 5 in 2020 to 13 in 2025. Using AI-based monitoring, the KCS will detect evasion like false declarations or third-country circumvention. Selected firms will face integrated investigations.

MMi Daily Iron Ore Report (April 22)

Iron ore futures showed a slight upward trend today. The main contract I2609 closed at 786.5 RMB/ton, up 0.32% from the previous trading day. Spot prices also rose by 1-3 RMB/ton. Traders quoted actively, while steel mills restocked as needed. Overall spot transaction sentiment was relatively stable.
