SAIC Capital to Establish 2.5B Yuan Fund for AI, Solid-State Batteries, and Chip Localization

SAIC (600104.SH) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, SAIC Capital, plans to jointly establish the Shanghai Shangqi Shangcheng No. 2 Private Equity Investment Fund Partnership (Limited Partnership) with Guotou Xiandao, Hunan Jin Furong, Guofu Linghang, and others. The fund's initial committed capital is 2.5 billion yuan, of which SAIC Capital has committed 1 billion yuan. The fund will focus on key areas such as solid-state batteries, full-stack electronic architecture, digital chassis, and chip localisation, while actively investing in cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, embodied AI, and computing power chips.
